Pinky and the Brain is a show that aired on Kids' WB! from 1995 to 1998. It spun off from a segment on Animaniacs. It ran for four seasons with a total of 66 episodes.
Pinky and Brain are genetically enhanced laboratory mice who reside in a cage in the Acme Labs research facility. Brain is self-centered and scheming, while Pinky is good-natured but feeble-minded. In each episode, Brain devises a new plan to take over the world which ultimately ends in failure: usually due to the impossibility of Brain's plan, Brain's own arrogance or overconfidence, Pinky's bumbling, or just circumstances beyond their control.
The series received 13 Emmy nominations during its run, winning 2 in 1999 in the Outstanding Achievement in Animation and Outstanding Performer in an Animated Program (Rob Paulsen as Pinky).
The series was later retooled into Pinky, Elmyra and the Brain.
Theme song lyrics[]
- They're Pinky and The Brain
- Yes, Pinky and The Brain
- One is a genius
- The other's insane
- They're laboratory mice
- Their genes have been spliced
- They're dinky
- They're Pinky and The Brain, Brain, Brain, Brain
- Brain, Brain, Brain, Brain
- Brain
- Before each night is done
- Their plan will be unfurled
- By the dawning of the sun
- They'll take over the world
- They're Pinky and The Brain
- Yes, Pinky and The Brain
- Their twilight campaign
- Is easy to explain
- To prove their mousey worth
- They'll overthrow the Earth
- They're dinky
- They're Pinky and The Brain, Brain, Brain, Brain
- Brain, Brain, Brain, Brain
- "Narf!"
